A new client came to Amanda as a first-time executive of a series C startup. His company had recently closed a new round of funding and the client was experiencing a gap in leadership support and development.

New board members and investors mean new levels of pressure around performance and increased expectations. The client believed concerns were growing around his performance and ability to take on additional challenges. Given the scrappiness of the startup, the client found it increasingly difficult to safely share his thoughts and explore ways to improve his leadership skills.


Stuck in short-term thinking and firefighting mode, the client asked Amanda for leadership support and to provide a space for much needed long-term strategic visioning, prioritization and planning. In addition, he sought an end to his tendency to spiral into questions over his own performance.

He developed his ability to set both long-term priorities and weekly goals to make traction toward his vision.
